Glamorous Looks from the Cannes Film Festival 2016

EN Hello my dears! You are probably waiting the article with the experience from Digital Divas Awards 2016 I promise it will come soon but now I want to talk about the Glamorous Looks from the Cannes which has just ended the 69th edition, a very sexy age some would say ..

For those who doesn’t know, this film festival is held annually in Cannes, France, which previews new movies of all genres, including documentaries from around the world.

Being is such an important event I couldn’t hold myself not to bring up into discussion the winners and especially to express my joy regarding the winners of this year which include a Romanian. Cristian Mungiu, with the movie called Graduation won the award for the best director. Our brave Romanian is not on his first achievement, he won the Palme d’Or prize in 2007 and, us from Iasi city (Romania) we should be even more proud of Mr. Mungiu being he was born in Iasi.

The grand prize, Palme d’Or, was won by the movie Daniel Blake by Ken Loach, film and television director of British origin is becoming the ninth in the winners series of this prestigious award.

The film It’s only the end of the world by Xavier Dolan won the Grand Prix award. Xavier Dolan is an actor, director, screenwriter and producer of Canadian origin.

Personal Shopper by Olivier Assayas took the prize for best director. Olivier is of French origin and has an impressive career as a director, screenwriter and film critic.

Asghar Farhadi won the screen player award for Best Film Forushande (The Sales Man). The Iranian Asghar Farhadi’s is known to be a film director and screenwriter internationally acclaimed by critics, counting in his portfolio  a golden globe prize. In 2012 it was included by Time magazine as one of 100 most influential people in the world.

The film American Honey by Andrea Arnold received the jury prize. Andrea is a former actress and director of British origin.

What did celebrities worn to the most luxurious event on the French Riviera? If is to ask me I would say that they wore everything. Besides the classic “little black dress” and “lady in red” they opted for insertion and metallic reflections, masculine look but tend I believe was dictated by floral prints, lace and ruffles.

Below I have made a selection of representative outfits. My criteria was based on either authenticity and I would include: Céline Sallette and Chloe Sevigny; either by emphasizing on a particular trend (I believe in this category fits the lace, floral prints and men style); either because some were insanely sexy (Liya Kebede and Bella Hadid) or just due to my personal taste and I include here as my favorites: Blake Lively wearing a creation belongs to Atelier Versace and Catrinel Marlon (formerly Menghia- another Romanian ♥) in Luisa Beccaria creation.

Which was your fav dress?

Until next time stay fashion!

From Romania with love!

Buna dragele mele!

Filmul It’s only the end of the world de Xavier Dolan a castigat Grand Prix.

Asghar Farhadi premiul pentru Best screen player cu pelicula Forushande (The Sales Man).

Pana data viitoare ramaneti in tendinte!

Din Iasi cu dragoste!
