Strawberry mousse

EN  The strawberry mousse is one of the dessert of my childhood hence is one of my favorite sweet as well. So today I decided to share with you “a portion” :). This dessert is very tasty, refreshing, easy to make and is “delighting” the eye retina by it’s pleasant shade of pink. Is the perfect dessert for weekend guests.

I like to a eat it simple, without necessarily to refrigerate it as recommended. But you can refrigerate it for about an hour so will become more solid; you can also decorate it with cream, fruits or mint leaves for a catchy look.

I do not have a standard recipe, when I’m cooking it I let my taste to guide me. The ingredients I used are as follow:

  • 2 egg whites
  • about a 200 ml glass filled with powdered sugar (I don’t know exactly how much sugar it fits into that glass)
  • about a glass of 200/250 ml filled with strawberries (the strawberries must be added depending of how much flavor you would prefer, please note I have smashed them with a fork before)

For preparing:

  • mix the egg whites with the sugar until the sugar completely melts then incorporate the strawberries till you obtain a homogeneous mousse
  • keep it in the refrigerator for about an hour / an hour and half
  • put into cups and serve it cold

Strawberry mousse

RO  Pentru mine spuma de capsuni este unul dintre deserturile copilariei mele si prin urmare unul dintre preferatele mele. Astazi am decis sa impart cu voi “o portie” :). Aceasta spuma este foarte gustoasa, racoritoare, usoar de preparat si “incanta” retina prin nuanta placuta de roz. Desertul ideal pentru musafirii de weekend.

Mie imi place sa o consum simpla si fara neaparat sa o tin in prealabil la frigider asa cum este recomandat. Insa, voi puteti tine cca o ora la frigider pentru a deveni mai solida de asemenea o puteti decora cu frisca, fructe sau frunze de menta pentru a va incanta si mai mult vizual oaspetii.

Nu am o reteta standard, o prepar mai mult dupa ochi si gust. Astfel, am utilizat urmatoarele ingrediente:

  • 2 albusuri de ou
  • cca un pahar de 200 ml zahar pudra (nu stiu exact ce cantitate de zahar a incaput in acel pahar)
  • cca un pahar de 200/ 250 ml capsuni (capsunile se pun dupa gust, de asemenea eu le-am sfarmat un pic cu furculita inainte)

Mod de preparare:

  • cu mixerul se bat albusurile cu zaharul pana acesta din urma se topeste apoi se incorporeaza capsunile pana obtinem o spuma omogena
  • se lasa la frigider cca o ora/ o ora jumatate
  • se pune in cupe si se serveste rece
